How to Grow Herbs in a Kitchen Garden

I love cooking with fresh herbs, but during these chilly months my spiral herb garden is pretty much dormant. Here’s how to grow herbs indoors, so you can cook fresh all year round!

Herbs are a perfect candidate for a kitchen window garden. They don’t take a lot of space to grow, and having fresh herb plants right in the window means you’re a pair of kitchen scissors away from home-grown seasonings. Alexis Staley at our sister site Green Living Ideas shared how to grow herbs in an indoor container garden, and I thought that you guys would enjoy it too!

I’ll be honest with you guys: I am no master container gardener. I’ve tried planting herbs in a kitchen garden, and they always die. Sometimes I forget to water them, but other times I think it’s just that plants hate me. Alexis’s article has me wanting to give this whole herb garden thing another try, though!
