Non-Vegan Ingredients To Avoid

Aside from the more obvious items like meat, cheese, milk, and eggs, here are some specific non-vegan items on the Panera menu that you’ll want to avoid:

  • Cinnamon Swirl Bagel – The cinnamon-sugar flavoring in this contains milk. Try a vegan blueberry bagel instead!
  • Wonton Strips – Panera states on their website to order without wontons if you’re vegan. This may be due to the fact that the wonton strips could touch and absorb parts of the chicken on the Asian Sesame with Chicken salad, making them not suitable for a vegan diet.
  • Honey – Be aware – honey is hiding in many bakery items such as the Sprouted Grain Bagel Flat.
