Ben Tseitlin is passionate about raw chocolate, and on Monday evening, San Francisco folks can learn some of his chocolate-making secrets! Not in SF? Don’t fret! Ben’s been kind enough to share a raw chocolate recipe just for us. Check it out below.

Tseitlin launched Ben Chic Chocolates as a labor of love. He shared a little bit about his foray into the world of raw chocolate:

I first tried raw chocolate in 2007 and it really blew me away. Not only was the taste amazing but before you added in any milk, sugar or chemicals it was actually really healthy.

I also became obsessed with farmer’s markets and really loved the local honey & almonds that we have in the bay area. So after many months of making chocolate for fun and messing around with these ingredients, I finally made some chocolate that I thought tasted really great and only used honey as a sweetener (no refined sugar). Friends started to have it and wanted to buy it- and things really grew from there.

Now, Ben wants to share his chocolatey knowledge with the world! San Francisco peeps can register for his raw chocolate class. If you’re not in the Bay Area, here’s an exclusive raw chocolate recipe from Ben to you!
