Every day I am eating something I grew and posting on Food Freedom Radio’s Facebook. Chives grow like weeds, best early spring. Mix with free range chicken, mushrooms garlic & ginger.
Food Freedom Radio Chives
Ingredients
- 1/2 to to 2 cups of chives*
- 1 pound of protein source (options include: Free Range chicken, ground turkey, a couple of eggs or tofu)
- 2 clovesgarlic
- olive oil
- 1 pint of mushrooms
Cooking Directions
- Cut chives, wash and dice, put aside.
- Turn on stove and add garlic & ginger to your favorite stir fry pan with a little olive oil. Over medium heat stir fry for a minute or two minutes, add chicken (or preferred protein source) cook until protein is done. May need to add a touch more oil then add chives & mushrooms, stir until chives are done to your taste. Usually 2 to 3 minutes).
(*to taste, note: chives grow like weeds and return every year so are a great source of free organic greens)
