  1. I love a nice, hot cup of chamomile tea. It soothes my stomach and is especially calming before bed.

  2. My wife’s from New Zealand, and she’s the main influence that has me drinking tea. As such, I tend to prefer it the way they do, which is an English breakfast tea with a bit of sugar and milk. Gonna go make a cup right now, in fact. :)

  3. I’ve done all three things (signed up for samovar’s newsletter, and followed both samovar and eat drink better on twitter)

  4. I just realized that each post is an entry, so this is my second, saying I’m following samovar on twitter

  5. I’m a big green tea drinker. It’s very soothing and gives me a nice pick-up in the morning. I also enjoy herbal teas.

  6. done, done and done …

My favorite tea so far is White Monkey and a Pu-erh. Enjoying both of those quite a bit!

  7. Want! Here’s my latest concoction: mixed Amaretto & Passion Fruit Oolong tea. That thing is DELISH! I’ve called it Mistryfication.

  8. I am not a tea newbie but would love the tea newbie set. My favorite tea depends on the time of the day…green tea in the morning followed by Earl Grey or Irish tea, an herbal tea in the afternoon or chamomile at night.

  9. I signed up for the newsletter and I happen to love Earl Grey tea with just a bit of honey. Delish!

  10. Started following you on twitter as well as tweeting about this contest. I am @AdamHansen if anyone else on twitter is interested. :)

  11. Two of my favorite tea flavors are Argo Tea’s Darjeeling Champagne and Eden Organic’s Hojicha.

  12. coffee shop around the corner has the best blend…with a little agave syrup and a splash of cream…perfect for when i don’t want coffee breath!

  13. One of my favorite teas is actually from samovar. Scarlet Sable is a blend of black and rooibos tea, it’s definitely one of my favorites of all time!

  14. Tea with ginger is my favorite medicine for an upset stomach, and chai tea with almond milk is another favorite. Also following @samovarlife on twitter!

  15. I love white teas in general, but lately tisanes (especially Hibiscus Spice with cinnamon from Teahouse Kuan Yin in Seattle) have become a near-daily indulgence!

  16. I’ve been on the Samovar newsletter list since its inception and have just added myself to the Eat.Drink.Better list! Thanks for spreading the word about my favorite San Francisco tea spot.

  17. Jeffrey Posey

There are so many good teas to choose from as my favorite, but I think my favorite style might be Pu-erh and I love Samovar’s Palace Pu-erh.

My week is not complete unless I make a trip into the city to experience the tranquility, exquisite food and one of the great Pu-erh’s at Samovar.

  23. Tea is such a personal thing… your taste is dependent on so many factors – what you’re eating, how you’re feeling, the time of day, the weather…

My current favorite is Pu-erh tea – it’s full-bodied, rich and smooth without the slightest hint of bitterness. It’s caffeinated, but wonderful for any time of day – morning & night. If you’re interested, Samovar has a wonderful selection!

  24. Nothing beats a good cup of high quality green tea! Well, except a great cup of coffee. Thankfully I get to indulge in both now and then!
