I hate to break it to all of you who were keen on trying the turd burger, but as you may have suspected, the video is a hoax.
Justin Elliott from Salon did his due diligence on the turd burger.
He claims that the turd burger story has origins back to 1993! The modern version, however, can be traced back to October 2010, when the video was uploaded. From there it slowly crept through the internet, until Inhabitat ran the story, then the big explosion when Fox News picked it up. It was all downhill from there…
