1. Installation Manager: Green City Growers – Green City Growers is New England’s premier urban farming company. We transform unused space into thriving urban farms, providing schools, homeowners, restaurants, businesses and communities with immediate access to nutritious food, while revitalizing city landscapes and inspiring self-sufficiency. As the leader of the operations crew, the Operations Manager directs the installation of all raised beds, trellises, pest fences, irrigation systems and related products we provide our clients to successfully grow fruit and vegetables in the city. The Installation Manager works in conjunction with the Director of Operations to ensure all orders are installed in a timely and efficient manner. He or she oversees the crew and delegates tasks in-shop and on-site to ensure products are installed to meet or exceed client expectations.

2. Sales Representative: Community Grains – Community Grains is a small fast growing company based in Oakland, CA, offering a variety of whole grain flours, dried pastas and corn polentas. All our grains and products are 100% grown, milled and manufactured in California, and distributed nationally. Community Grains is looking for a Sales Representative to work in partnership with the Vice President of Sales to help grow our retail and foodservice customers as well as maintain our current customer base.

3. Master Grower: Mechanical Moon – We are a B2B startup in the Agriculture 2.0 space. Our product is a highly scalable IoT grow system for urban & vertical farming based on aeroponics, a soil-less growing technique. Our system is easy to use and we have automated or otherwise greatly simplified the complexity of aeroponics and indoor farming in general. The Master Grower is a key hire. We are looking for a bold and innovative farmer, plant scientist, horticulturist or botanist to work with our innovative soil-less growing technology and identify best-of-breed techniques for growing a variety of different crops. Much more specific information will be made available during the interview process.

4. National Program Leader, Water Resources: Agricultural Research Service – This position is located in the Office of National Programs (ONP). ONP is the principal organizational component of ARS, which develops, for the Administrator, options and recommendations for resource allocations. This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled in any of the job series/position titles listed. In addition to the specialized experience requirements, applicants must submit proof that they meet the educational requirements for at least one of the series described in the announcement. Applicants may only be appointed to job series/position titles for which they meet all experience and educational requirements. As a National Program Leader for Water Resources, you will be providing technical leadership and guidance in the area of Water Resources.

5. Digital Strategy Editor: Edible – Edible Manhattan, Edible Brooklyn, Edible Long Island and Edible East End tell the story of how their communities eat. Along with other Edible New York titles, they belong to a network of Edible magazines and websites across North America. Edible’s digital platform is evolving and looking to grow its audience. The digital strategist will spearhead these efforts via social media, syndication partnerships, SEO and other methods. Across all four titles (Edible Manhattan, Edible Brooklyn, Edible Long Island and Edible East End) the digital strategist will work with editors to set goals for traffic and other digital metrics. They will also plan and implement strategies to reach those goals. This is a part-time, estimated 20 hours a week commitment.
