Close to the Tennessee River and not far from the state university, Huntsville is a nice community filled with a ton of aerospace brainiacs, rich history and some great vegan food options!
Chattanooga is a beautiful scenic city! With destinations like Lookout Mountain and its proximity to the Appalachians, there is a lot to do and see in and around the Dynamo of Dixie. But most importantly, there is some awesome vegan, gluten free and overall healthy grub!
With so many incredible historic locations and delicious places to dine on vegan, gluten free and overall healthy food, I just had to return for a second post about eating vegan in Memphis.
Memphis: the birthplace of rock n’ roll, home to Elvis and famed Beale Street. This music city right on the banks of the Mississippi River is known for it’s bbq, but I was beyond delighted with incredible food that abounded for a little ol’ vegan. The city is rich with history and boasts some famous folks but now, it’s quickly becoming a hub for great special diet culinary finds!
While there are lots of things to do in Miami it is an absolute must to save time to dine on the local fare. It’s super cool to see how many places have popped up over the last few years that are not only accommodating to special diets but are also incredibly delicious. So whether you are looking to partake in some Miami sightseeing tours or just passin’ through, make it a point to check out the rest of the fave spots where I was lucky enough to get my grub on!
My hometown of Miami is finally getting on a healthier kick! And I have to say, it was worth the wait! With a plethora of healthy, vegan and even raw places to dine, Miami is definitely becoming a force to be reckoned with in the veg world.
Whether you are doing a tour of California for a little r and r or frequently travel San Diego for ComicCon, the southernmost metropolis of California is a great place to visit. Beachy, relaxed and beautiful, vegan food is easy to find in this bayside border town. From my first visit to San Diego many years ago until now, lots of great stuff has popped up so I’ve decided to go back and check out some of the new places in and around town.
For my third Seattle post, I saved some goodies for last! While I could have spent weeks dining in and around the Seattle area, I only had time enough for what I’ve covered but I know I’ll be back to uncover some more good eats! Let’s get rollin’ on the final five healthy, vegan and gluten free hot spots I found in this evergreen city!
As promised, here are some more delicious vegan Seattle secrets! Whether you are taking a leisurely city sightseeing tour or just passin’ through on a west coast tour, these tasty hot spots are a must visit, regardless of your time in town. Ok, at least make time for a few of these because you’ll be glad you did!
Seattle, the Pacific Northwest’s Emerald City. Home of the Space Needle and Public Market as well as the birthplace of grunge music and Starbucks. This city by the sound is beautiful, lush and a hub for delicious eats. It’s a bustling town of hip and young folks and families who have built a green and veg-friendly metropolis.
Taking a guided tour through the fort, going to the oldest school house and visiting the fountain of youth can whip up a mean appetite. St. Augustine offers up a variety of sightseeing tours but where can a vegan foodie chow in an old timey town? I’ll tell ya!
Continuing my tour of the Carolinas, I was quite enamored with the healthy choices I found in the Queen City of North Carolina! A neat looking downtown, and a southern financial capital, Charlotte had the city feel with plenty of hip and chic spots to boot. Home to Nascar (including guided tours of the museum), this North Carolina metropolis takes care of those in search of healthy eats!
Taking a tour of North Carolina, we made a pit stop in Hendersonville, located about 30 minutes from Asheville, to check out the sights and have some tasty vegan eats!
