BASF announced they would be cultivating their genetically modified potatoes in Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands. What does this mean for a GMO-free Europe? Nothing, really. It just means genetically modified potatoes will be on American tables sooner.

Labeling Genetically Modified Foods
This comes up from time to time. Should we or should we not label genetically-modified ingredients in our food? Most people like to know what’s in their food, whether it’s the basic ingredients, the nutrient content of the final product, or even how it’s grown. Accurate ingredients lists and nutrition facts are required by law. Legislation requiring the labeling of genetically modified foods is the logical next step.
Poll: Consumers Want Truth in Labeling
According to a recent poll over at MSNBC, 95% of respondents want truth in labeling and believe that genetically engineered food should be labeled.
