Practically Green & the Healthy Green Diva Kitchen

Listen, laugh & learn with the Green Divas (and Green Dude Paul) anytime Podcast here!

A rather fun show this week. Perhaps it was all that talk about food and natural and creative ways to dye easter eggs. Or maybe it was Meghan Van Dyk, being in the studio with us for the whole show. Not sure, but our interview with the very energetic and articulate Susan Hunt Stevens, CEO and founder of might have had something to do with it!

Green Diva Lisa did a yummy report on her recent post about some super nutritious ingredients to keep in the healthy green diva kitchen. Here’s an excerpt from the original post:

GD Meg and I are always learning new ways to stay healthy through the food we eat and serve.  We are both foodies.  There are some ingredients that each of us keep in our respective kitchens (and the green diva test kitchen @ GDHQ) for those creative moments when we need to throw something nutritious together for ourselves or our families.  I’m very grateful for having access to some incredibly healthy ingredients to help boost my immune system and help my body fight the day-to-day toxins we all encounter. Here are a few of our must-have favorites with some recipes and ways we like to incorporated them into yummy meals:

Turmeric – I first started stocking turmeric in my cupboard to help with allergies. Living is Austin, TX can be allergy-challenging and it certainly is for me. But I’ve since learned that there are many other benefits. Check out this fabulous list of benefits of turmeric.

Read the whole post and learn more about turmeric, cayenne pepper, coconut oil, chia seeds, and quinoa (including some yummy recipes).
