Love Grown Foods is a Denver based company that creates spectacular granola. I have had the great opportunity to review this granola, and have been fully satisfied since opening my first bag. Check it out!
The Company
Love Grown Foods was created by Alex and Maddy, two individuals with great health and business sense. They combined their two strengths to create a small local business that has grown to distribute granola throughout the country. The granola is Maddy’s personal recipe that has been modified for their commercial kitchen. Alex and Maddy are both health conscious, active, outdoorsy people who have employed others who share their same common goal: to promote health with good food.
The Granola
I have had the opportunity to taste test the Sweet Cranberry Pecan, Raisin Almond Crunch and Cocoa Goodness granola. Each variety comes with it’s own unique flavor. They all contain the main base of certified gluten-free oats, honey and organic agave syrup. All other ingredients are whole foods like sunflower seeds, coconut and cinnamon. There are no artificial colors, flavors or stabilizers. The granola labels plainly state:
- FREE of Refined Sugar
- FREE of Trans Fats
- FREE of Artificial Flavors
- FREE of Gluten
- FREE of High Fructose Corn Syrup
- FREE of Hydrogenated Oils
- FREE of Preservatives
- FREE of Genetically Modified Ingredients
Each 1/4 cup serving has about 2g of dietary fiber and 3g of protein (depending on flavor variety.) The granola is a low sodium food with little saturated fat.
How Does it Taste?
It is evident this granola was created with LOVE. The flavor is surprisingly unique. It is not too sweet or too crunchy, but has enough bulk to feel satisfied. The Raisin Almond Crunch has a great cinnamon flavor that tops my own homemade recipe. Cocoa Goodness leaves the eater with a subtle sweetness of chocolate without overpowering. Sweet Cranberry Pecan is my favorite. It has a perfect combination of pecans to oats to cranberries.
