An email, this time from LuckyBolt a breakfast and lunch delivery service in San Francisco, alerted me to new research that suggests that, as your momma (and LuckyBolt) told you:
“Eating breakfast makes you happy and healthy…It’s the most important meal of the day!”
LuckyBolt sites new research discussed at foodinsight.org, that says that 93% of Americans agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, yet only 44% are eating breakfast everyday. The foodinsight article, Wake Up To The Benefits of Breakfast, sites the 2009 International Food Information Council Foundation’s Food & Health Survey:
Breakfast is Just Plain Good for You … Breakfast can have a positive impact on nutrient intake, food group consumption, and may contribute to cognitive and academic performance, weight control, and overall health.
