The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act passed the House 264-157. Next step, the White House.
Yesterday, when the bill stalled in the House, things looked bleak. But it’s hard to turn away from hungry schoolchildren.
All indications are that President Obama will sign the bill. He has spent time with House members coming up with a plan to fund the food stamps money that will be funding the child nutrition act.
It’s good to see this one come to a conclusion. School lunches will be better for it.
