1 ½ ounces Herradura Blanco Tequila
Splash (¼ ounce) Gran Torres Orange Liqueur
2 ½ ounces margarita mix*
Salt, for glass rim
Lime wedge, squeezed, for garnish
- Fill shaker with ice and all ingredients.
- Shake vigorously for a minimum of 44 shakes. Pour in concentric circles into salted rim margarita glass.
- Garnish with squeezed lime wedge.
*Margarita Mix is fresh lime juice balanced with simple syrup. Lime juice varies greatly day to day in the level of acidity and sweetness. On a perfect day, the mix would be 1 part lime juice to 1 part simple syrup.** When the lime juice is too tart, increase the level of simple syrup. If the lime juice is too sweet, decrease the level of simple syrup.
Remember, when tasting your mix should be a little sweet but tart at the end.
**Simple Syrup: 1 cup sugar simmered in 1 cup water until completely dissolved.
