When the folks at Vapur contacted me about their foldable water bottle, I have to tell you I was intrigued. We’re big fans of ditching store bought bottled water around here, so I’m always up to try another reusable solution.
Vapur sent me a pair of their “fun sized” bottles to try out. The .4 liter bottle didn’t hold enough for my husband’s liking, but it was great for the hour long art class that I teach at the local elementary school. I’m pretty loaded down with art supplies when I show up to class, so it was nice to not also lug a heavy water bottle. It held just enough to keep me hydrated through set up, class, and clean up. Around two hours total.
When I grabbed the orange bottle out of my purse to sip it, my kids were pretty impressed, too, and if we’ve learned nothing from the Toyota Highlander, it’s that impressing kids is important.
The Vapur bottle is BPA free and folds up flat when empty. It’s also top rack dishwasher safe, though it looks like it might be a bit tricky to get it totally clean. You’d probably need to scrub it with a bottle brush occasionally.
I wouldn’t recommend the fun sized bottle for a hike or a long road trip, but these Vapur bottles might be a nice thing to stash in your purse for emergencies. I know there have been times that I forgot to grab my bottle on the way out the door.
