Symptoms of Salmonella exposure include fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. Most people exposed to Salmonella will just get a little bit sick, but there are people who are more at risk from exposure. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and anyone with a compromised immune system can become seriously ill and even die.
So far, no illnesses have been reported from these products. That’s good news. The last time there was a chia powder recall, more than 50 people got sick.
