Fresh back from a fantastic Labor day vacation, I was again reminded why it’s so important for home gardeners to have good fall fallback recipes to rely on. Onions, peppers and tomatoes, three of the most common vegetables grown by home vegetable gardeners, are plentiful in the Fall, and this recipe calls for all of them!
A lot of gardeners shy away from mint because of its invasive reputation. This recipe is my favorite revenge. My kind, old, brassy neighbor was the first person to share the joy of passing along plants with me along with the recipe for Risi E Bisi.
