If you love milk (from animals or a vegan option) but are tired of drinking it plain or having it with your cereal every morning, you can try to prepare some delicious drinks and frozen desserts from it. Here are a few recipes you can use to enrich your daily diet.
1) Native American Indian Cacao
Ingredients: 2 cups of milk, cinnamon, a chocolate bar or chocolate chips, almond aroma, a pinch of chilli, and cacao (cocoa) powder. If you are using a bar of chocolate, you need to shred it first.
Boil milk with cinnamon and shredded chocolate or chocolate chips. When it is boiled, take it from the stove and add almond aroma with a pinch of chilli. Then, shake it all up or blend it. All you have to do now, is pour it into the cup and enjoy it!
2) Grandma’s Special
Ingredients: a cup of milk, a clove of garlic, one tablespoon of honey, and 2 teaspoons of butter.
Boil milk and pour it into a cup. Add butter, pressed or chopped garlic, and honey. Make sure you drink it warm.
3) Fruit Milkshakes (Blueberry and Strawberry*)
Ingredients: 2 cups of milk, half a pound of blueberries, and powdered or vanilla sugar for taste.
Wash blueberries and let them dry on a paper towel. Blend blueberries with milk and sugar and pour into a cold glass. If you want it to be a little more special, you can add vanilla ice cream (or any flavor of your choice) or whipped cream.
*For strawberry, replace blueberries with three quarters of a pound of strawberries.
4) Home Latte
Ingredients: a cup of fresh espresso, a cup of cold milk and crushed ice.
Mix warm espresso with cold milk and add crushed ice. Shake it all up and pour into a tall glass.
5) Homemade Milky Fruit Ice Cream Sticks
Ingredients: 2 cups of milk and fresh or frozen fruits, such as raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries.
Blend milk with fruits. Then, pour it into cups, close the cups with silver foil and put a wooden stick or a spoon inside. Place the cups into the freezer and let them freeze. Once the milk is frozen, remove the silver foil, take out the ice cream from the cups and enjoy your homemade delight.
