Do you know a worthy non-profit with a strong grass-roots following? Sungevity Solar may have $20,000 for them through a new non-profit grant contest.
Sungevity Solar is kicking off their first “giving contest” this holiday season. Any non-profit organization can apply to compete for a $20,000 grant.
Organizations need to write 140 characters on how they would “Generate Positive” with $20,000. Sungevity will then select 30 organizations to compete in a month long contest. The goal for participating non-profit organizations is to get the most supporters to vote for their organization and win $20,000.
Here’s how it works:
- Each voter will be able to vote one time for a participating organization.
- If a voter is in the Sungevity service area and requests an quote, the organization gets 10 more votes.
- If a voter is out of our service area and signs up to be a member of OurSungevity referral platform – the organization gets 10 more votes.
Do you have a favorite non-profit food organization that could use $20,000? Since this contest has a strong consumer participation requirement, a CSA or famers market might have the resources to pull this off. Enrollment is now open, spread the word. Voting starts on Nov. 11th.
The contest will run from November 11th until December 11th, 2013. If you’re a non-profit, you can apply here.
