Last week a vegetarian Buddhist inmate appealed to PETA for help: contrary to both observable reality and his religious beliefs, prison officials claim that fish flesh is appropriate for vegetarian meals. The Corrigan-Radgowski Correctional Institution in Uncasville, CT apparently disregards inmate Howard Cosby's right to religious expression, insisting that deceased aquatic creatures don't count as 'meat.'

PETA Enters the Fast Food Fight

The fast food industry is taking on PETA's attempts to demonize them, and has unleashed a series of documents regarding some unethical behaviors of the nonprofit. A few months ago if you Googled PETA, you probably would've been greeted with images of supermodels in cages wearing nothing but body paint, or some controversial billboards shaming overweight children. Now, a PETA search turns up some pretty damning stuff.
