Yield: 10 servings; Calories per serving: approx. 170

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup puffed rice
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup simple syrup (instructions in recipe)

Cooking Directions

  1. To make the simple syrup:Combine two parts sugar to one part water over low heat. Stir until clear, then remove from heat and allow to cool. The longer the syrup is over the heat, the thicker it will get.
  2. Mix peanuts, oats, puffed rice, and chocolate chips. Slowly pour simple syrup over the dry mixture while stirring. Put it in the refrigerator in a sealed container for half an hour to allow it to set.
