How-to: Educational Mason Jar Seed Starter Pots

Mason Jar Seed Starters

Getting your kiddos into growing food is such a great way to get them excited about eating their veggies, and if you’re starting your garden from seed it’s also a great opportunity for them to learn about how plants work.

Of course, this mason jar seed starter won’t hold enough seeds to start a garden, but you can start a few seedlings in here where you kiddos can see not only the shoots sprout up, but they can watch the roots wind their way into the soil. Once you build the starter board, just write down what you’re sprouting on the chalkboard back, plant some seeds, and you’re ready to rock.
