Recycle Your Running Shoes
We were surprised just how much can be done with recycled sneakers! Nike’s Reuse-A-Shoe program has collected over 24 MILLION
sneakers for use in their Nike Grind project that repurposes most of the materials to make all kinds of ball courts, playgrounds and tracks!
Also found a great non-profit called Sole4Souls that helps gather donated shoes and get them to people who need them all over the world – over 17 million have been given out so far!
Why We Should Care
This week we focused on our talk with actress, mom and business woman, Jessica Alba
Jessica talked about getting creative about sustainable living ideas, especially when it comes to children. Visit Jessica’s very earth-friendly business geared towards healthy, green parenting – The Honest Company.
