Giveaway: Win a Box of Vegan Treats from Spencer’s Market

vegan treats

Spencer’s Vegan Market is a brand new e-commerce website based out of San Francisco, CA. The basic premise at Spencer’s is to create a hub for personalized food discovery.

They offer a subscription service where they ask questions about and record each person’s food preferences and dietary restrictions, curate a box of artisanal products that fit those wants and needs. Boxes come on a regular basis, and the idea is to introduce a new small-scale companies, tell a story about what makes them so special, and offer a tasting package of their goodies. Each producer gets a full time storefront, so the community can come back and purchase their favorites for years to come!

I love the idea of using a subscription service like this to connect small, eco-minded companies with folks who would be interested in their goodies! It’s tough to reach your market as a small business owner, and I really like Spencer’s Market’s focus on community, so when they emailed about sending me a sample box and doing a giveaway for you guys, I jumped at the chance!

The sample box they sent features more well-known companies than I was expecting, so I asked Todd, the rep at the company about that. He explained:

Our passion is working with the smaller, artisanal producer and giving them a platform to grow their business. That said, we will also work with some more recognizable brands if they fit our clean food policy. We don’t mind introducing people to a little bit of an indulgence, but it has to be made from clean and natural ingredients. Our giveaway will be from brands that most vegans recognize, we feel that it is a good way to build some trust before introducing our smaller producers.

Sold! He also told me a bit more about the company’s “clean food policy:”

We have also established a clean food policy when searching for our producer partnerships, we want to have the highest quality, natural ingredients in all of the products that we feature.

These are the Spencer’s Market guidelines:

  • No High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • No artificial sweeteners
  • No artificial colors, dyes or flavorings
  • No Trans Fats or Partially Hydrogenated Oils
  • No artificial growth hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or herbicides
  • No nitrates, nitrites, fillers or excessive sodium levels
  • No GMO products

Are you excited yet? Let’s get to the giveaway deets!

The Giveaway

Spencer’s Market is giving away one sample box of vegan goodies similar to the one pictured at the top of this post. My box included some of my favorite treats, like Terra Chips, Primal Strips, and a box of Lara Bars. Yum!

Speaking of the treat boxes, I bet you’d like to know how to enter to win one! There are a few ways that you can get your “name in the hat.” Please just make sure that you leave a separate comment for each thing you do, so that we can be sure to count all of your entries!

That’s it! We’ll announce the winner on Monday, December 19th, so hurry and enter while there’s still time.
