What do you like in your oatmeal? Today I like thin sliced almonds and dried cherries, blueberries, cranberries, golden raisins and a twirl of honey (shown below). This tastes delicious with my black-cherry tea.

All year round, it is possible to enjoy hearty oatmeal with flax, nits, added fruits, like dried berries or simply organic bananas.

I like Trader Joes Organnic Oats and Flax to mix with my dried and fresh organic fruits. TJ’s mix is not sugery, it’s pretty plain so you can add your own sweet toppings. My phone photos may not be as darling as the images from “a Year of Mornings” book, but there is heart in each breakfast bowl, so enjoy the most important meal of the day, and start feeling really good in the morning.
