Picking Fruit
Sometimes you just can’t find an organic peach. Of course, most grocery stores and markets continue to expand their local and organic produce sections, but we have all faced a produce aisle, dinner party recipes in hand, without a nontoxic eggplant in sight. Should we just go conventional or try to find an organic replacement?
To help with these small-scale, big impact lifestyle decisions, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) has analyzed the pesticide load of 44 different fruits and vegetables and compiled a rating system for your perusal. EWG is a non-profit organization that studies and reports on ecotoxicology and other intersections of environmental and human health. Check it out here!

I am a big fan of food. I am not a big fan of endocrine disrupting or carcinogenic compounds in my food. I will probably write a lot about that here.

Excellent resource, thanks. With the price of avocados, having the option to buy conventional (last choice) is welcome.
Very informative — thank you!
